A 33-year resident of Humboldt County, Mr. Latt received his Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from Yale University in 1990. He attended Golden Gate University School of Law in San Francisco on a full merit scholarship, graduating in the top eighth of his class, and received a certificate of specialization in Environmental Law. His primary areas of practice include real property law, business law, estate planning (wills, trusts, and probate) and civil litigation. Mr. Latt serves in public elective office as Division One Director and President of the Board of Directors of the Humboldt Bay Municipal Water District, is Of Counsel and a former director of Food for People (the Food Bank of Humboldt County), is a member of the Kiwanis Club of Henderson Center, and since 2014, Treasurer of the Humboldt County Bar Association. Prior to law school, Mr. Latt was an organic farmer for twelve years in Orleans, California, where he annually produced eighty tons of fresh fruits and vegetables for local Humboldt County farmers' markets, supermarkets and restaurants. In his spare time, he enjoys family life, civic engagement, reading, cycling and wild mushroom hunting.
